//new beginnings//

F. scott Fitzgerald said that life begins all over again when it gets crisp in the fall... Autumn has barely begun to touch us and turn the trees into sparkling golds and reds, but it's in the air... It makes me reflect on how the trees are so beautiful but soon in winter they will turn a scraggly, bare mess where a couple of weeks ago we say how beautiful and dazzling they are.  How like trees we are in our seasons of life, how sometimes I want to show my colors off and shine and other times I feel bare and stripped of my walls and become vulnerable.. I don't want to just be content when I bloom and are a sight to see, I want to be content when I get redirected of my perspective and outward blessings or what I want to happen.. Lord help me be content in the winter season of my soul and life.. And rejoice just as much, as when the sun shines on my face, and I am dancing in the leaves.. Help me walk into the wilderness and territories I have never seen...

///liv pure gold//

I realized today I've been blogging for almost two years! I started it to find a place to put my thoughts and memories down on paper (screen?) and have grown so much, and changed so much since the start of this journey! At this stage in my life I love it, and enjoy looking back at is also. Here's a video as kind of a "highlight" reel per se and I hope you enjoy!

//cozy saturday///

Amidst all the craziness of moving amongst other things, the coldness and rain made me take a day to bomb around looking for deals at tj maxx (searching for free people) and drinking yummy lattes with a close friend. It's good to take time out and breathe and enjoy the little things!!! Here is what I wore today, and after I took my "going out clothes" off and got into my cozies. Here's to weekends off, Starbucks, and the smell of fall in the air. Jane Austen movie marathon,and Indian food, here I come!

Stay gold! And dry!

Here is some hairstyles I've been doing lately, and some current inspiration!! Let me know if you have any good ideas for me! Sorry for the fishtail oveloaaaaaddddd.

I've  been inspired by Free People's blog and photography lately, and decided to take a tromp in the woods. I used my wide barrel curling iron with Garnier Fructis beach spray to create my texture. Loving that combo lately! It makes braiding and styling so much more voluminous and just kind of that messy boho look.

Stay Gold!

///All about YOU///

Jesus be the center, it's all about YOU.
I decrease as you increase, it's all about you, not about ME.
The theme right now, in this generation is all about self, and what can YOU do for me, and this need to come out on top and stepping on toes as we climb. I want to be a stark contrast to that spirit and thought process the more I grow with the Lord. In ministry, when my face is seen, it's all about HIM and letting his spirit move and His will be done, and not thinking its my doing. We should have the same spirit cleaning a dirty toilet at our jobs or our church and not looking to be lauded or recognized. We have to decrease so His kingdom can increase. Jesus never asked for recognition or to be known as this great healer, or a celebrity. He wanted to go about His fathers business. Let us not get distracted with this world and its SELF, SELF, SELF. And let us be willing to be unknown but hear well done, my good and faithful servant.

Stay Gold!
