Joy

I think people put joy with things going well, life is in order, and everything is working out. It's those joyous people that win the lottery or get the promotion in the commercials. It's not often put with pain and heartbreak and trials. How can we serve God and only want a handout and a pat on the back? It's how we still serve Him in the storm and when we hear silence and see mountains ahead of us. I've been going through so many transitions and trials, and been crying out, wondering and confused.  It's easy to shake our heads and wonder why but growth is painful and hard. A.W Tozer says that you can't be used greatly until He tests you deeply. I believe God is stretching and testing this generation to see how we wait upon Him and listen. I know I can't make it on my own and whatever I go through with Him is so much better compared to what we deal with without him. One of the biggest trials I have dealt with lately, was this summer, and a pastor that was visiting prayed for me. What he kept on saying over and over, I pray that your faith fail not, I pray that your faith fail not. Not you will overcome on your Own, but trust and believe and you will overcome. Faith fail you not. Trust, walk forward, and give your people based problems to a miracle based God.
